ABOUT ELLEN HUNTER GANS

Hi! I'm Ellen.

I'm an award-winning senior brand storyteller, copywriter, editor, and content developer versed in tech, VC, AI, government, healthcare, fitness/wellness, food & beverage, CPG, retail, education, travel, humor, and writing absurdly long lists.

"You're the best in the business."

"Your work is pure genius."

"I'm pathetically helpless without you."

These are things people have probably said about iPhones.

They're also real things people have said about me.

I have 20+ years of professional experience, 17+ as a full-time freelancer. Yes, I started freelancing before it was cool. I also saw your favorite band first. (Just kidding, I only got the t-shirt.)

I craft high-stakes, high-profile work that commands attention and compels action. My portfolio includes content for thought leadership, rebranding, billboards, ads, websites, blogs, bylines, scripts, ebooks, email campaigns, thought leadership pieces, PR, sales, etc.

My work spans nearly every industry vertical; if I'm new to an area, I'll geek out and get up to speed. I love taking esoteric topics and making them palatable and exciting for the right audience and platform. I'm fast, accurate, and creative.

When I'm not helping companies stop the scroll, I'm a 41-time marathoner, ultramarathon champion, Ironman triathlete, voracious reader, world traveler (50 states plus 45 countries and counting), and staunch defender of the Oxford comma. I have two wildly superfluous advanced degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Southern California and two not-as-superfluous children.

Fun fact: I ran seven marathons on seven continents in seven days, and I'm the first person with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome to do so.

My work received coveted Shorty and Globee Awards, and I received the Decade Award from my undergraduate alma mater, given annually to one graduate who demonstrates exceptional achievement in their field. Crucially, I also won my fifth-grade science fair. Mic drop.

Are you still reading this?! WOW. You are really in deep now. Might as well hire me, eh?
